Established in 1984, Solda Pools’ 35 year commitment to their unique Turn Key approach has ensured quality award winning in-ground gunite vinyl pools, gunite concrete pools and spas. One of Solda’s Senior Partners since it was formed in 1984, John is integral to the flawless project completion of all of Solda Pools’ projects. His areas of expertise include forming and pouring custom concrete pools, marblelite pool finishes and mechanical and electrical systems. John coordinates logistics for all Solda projects and is responsible for all gas work, electrical hook ups and plumbing, to ensure they are completed with precision and on schedule. Committed to customer satisfaction, John enjoys working one-on-one with each client to create a dream backyard that reflects their unique requirements and design aesthetic. To unwind when he’s not at the office, John enjoys cooking, making homemade sausages and wine, and riding his motorcycle.
A senior partner and founding member of Solda Pools, Peter manages operations and oversees construction. From the completion of Solda Pools shells through to electrical and mechanical work Peter ensures unparalleled quality and craftsmanship. His background in business at the University of Toronto means he is comfortable both supporting Frank with sales appointments and working one-on-one with clients, helping them resolve project issues and creating custom designs that meet their needs. With over 30 years of experience in pools and hardscaping, Peter supervises crews and assists with construction onsite to ensure the highest quality. Peter relaxes with his family by cycling in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter, when he hasn’t managed to escape to a warmer destination.
A Senior Partner and founding member of Solda Pools, Frank is responsible for overseeing the procurement of products, managing the design and excavation teams, and supervising pool shell construction. Holding a BA Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Frank is adept in project conception and execution. Responsible for sales and contract negotiations for projects of all budgets, he is passionate about working with clients to create their dream backyards. A cycling enthusiast, when he’s not at the office Frank participates in the Ride to Conquer Cancer from Toronto to Niagara Falls and has completed the exhilarating GranFondo ride from Vancouver to Whistler. Frank’s love of the outdoors continues with his family hitting the slopes, snowshoeing and hiking.
Nicholas has completed his MBA and holds a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is “Genesis 3” educated and National Plasterers Council certified. As a project manager and a member of the Solda team for over a decade, Nicholas supervises crews onsite to ensure maximum quality, specializing in concrete pool tile work, marblelite pool finishes, and fine landscaping. He enjoys meeting with clients on sales appointments, brainstorming new ideas to transform their unique vision of the perfect backyard into reality, and working onsite to ensure construction is seamless. When he’s not completing intricate tile work, forming a porch or drafting a contract with a new client, you can find Nicholas spending time with his family, playing hockey, snowshoeing, or participating in charity running and biking events.
A Structural Professional Engineer from the University of Waterloo, Andrews is also “Genesis 3” and shot-crete nozzleman educated. Andrew serves as project manager after working on the Solda team for over 10 years. He brings with him 4 years of experience as a Structural Project Leader at Halsall and Associates, where he earned his Professional Engineering designation working on large-scale building projects. With a passion for structural design and building science, he provides onsite supervision to ensure the highest standards are met. Specializing in the custom design of outdoor living spaces and structures with expertise in forming and pouring concrete pools, Andrew liaises with clients from the initial sales appointment through design and construction to ensure the process runs smoothly. When he’s not helping client’s select materials or working on custom outdoor kitchens, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, road biking, cooking and playing hockey.
A member of the team since 1988, Will is Solda’s trusted Service Manager. He oversees a staff responsible for all seasonal openings and closings, weekly maintenance visits, mechanical upgrades, liner replacements and all general pool services. Will draws on an immense knowledge of pool systems to ensure each client’s pool receives the utmost of care, and liaises between his service staff and the Solda management team. With a background in customer service management, Will enjoys interacting with customers to ensure their needs are met. A father of two and proud grandfather of two boys, Will is a sports enthusiast who holds a second degree black belt in karate.
